Impossible

Project 8

To launch the I-1 camera, the first new Polaroid type camera in decades, we created the world's largest analog photo swap.

Here's a little video that explains it:

First we invited renowned artists like Jack White, Sigur Ros, Tim Barber, Anthony Vaccarello and many others to take photos based on one of eight different briefs. We then showcased those pictures at launch events in London, New York, and Berlin before opening up the submissions to the general public.

The project received photos from around the world and once all the submissions were in, we sent the images out at random. That means that someone, somewhere in the world now has an original photo taken and held by Jack White, or Sigur Ros, or another instant photography lover (which is cool, but maybe not as cool as getting something from a famous person).
